Introducing Myself
Background
Hi, everyone! My name is Emily and I come from a small town in the United States. I grew up with my parents and my younger sister. My mother is a teacher and my father is an engineer. I went to a local high school and then attended a university nearby. My major was English Literature and I also studied abroad in London for a semester. After college, I worked for a publishing company for a few years before deciding to pursue a career in education. I recently earned my teaching certification and I am now a high school English teacher.
Hobbies and Interests
When I’m not teaching or grading papers, I enjoy reading, writing, and going to the movies. I have always loved to read and I try to read at least one book a month. My favorite genres are historical fiction and mystery. I also like to write short stories and poetry in my free time. Going to the movies is one of my favorite ways to relax. I like to see all types of movies, from big blockbuster films to independent movies. I also enjoy traveling and exploring different parts of the world. My favorite trip was when I visited Paris a few years ago.
Goals for the Future
In the future, I hope to continue to improve as a teacher and inspire my students to love reading and writing as much as I do. I also want to continue to write and hopefully get published someday. Another goal of mine is to travel more and see more of the world. I would love to visit Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. I also want to improve my French language skills and become fluent. Overall, my main goal is to live a happy and fulfilling life, with a career that I love and surrounded by people I care about.
